Mekkah is a nationally recognized spoken word recording artist writer and designer. Currently Ranked 5 1 female in the world by IWPS ranks. Has opened for internationally known artist and shared stages with everyone from Nikki Giovanni to Kanye West to Hillary Clinton. Holds degrees in Advertising Public Relations Marketing Management and Fashion Merchandising. While perusing her MEd. Textiles Products Design Marketing she worked on several local plays. Currently residing in Brooklyn Mekkah teaches poetry and performance workshops at high schools and universities nation wide and is a personal stylist for several spoken word artists.
