I utilize the medium of film to tell simple stories. Shooting on 16mm or digital, I am able to intertwine genres to tell a story. For example, I enjoy film noir and musicals, but really feel that my African-American community needs to know more about our history-- so I plan on making films that beautiful, humane, and historical.
