I am interested in the process of painting and drawing and combining the two together. My recent work shows many levels of the process of making - some areas remain as initial drawing lines, and others are painted to a range of levels of "completeness." My work is figurative and narrative - it looks critically at social issues and draws from personal experience. In addition to my work as a Fine Artist, I work as a Product Designer specializing in Tabletop/Home Products including dinnerware, serveware, glassware, frames, mirrors, hardware, and bath accessories. I look to combine my work as a designer with my work as a Fine Artist through the realm of Public Art. I have completed two Public Art Projects to date, one for the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, and the other for the Washington D.C. Commission on the Arts. I am passionately interested in continuing to work in the public realm.
