I paint on wood, glass, canvas and paper. Printmaking techniques I use are monotypes and monoprints.
My recent work is the emotion of the swinging pendulum vs. being in the present moment. The patterns of vacillating back and forth from past experiences that create conditions of mental preoccupation can result in barriers that do not allow for a living experience.

The shifting of thoughts are emotional imprints desiring release, conclusion or closure. I call this “Triggers of Thought”. It is through the use of abstract expression that I am able to remove these vacillating patterns and merge the conscious with the subconscious; creating a transformation that allows for my presence in the work. It is here that I live in the present. I call these works Neo Abstract Transformation.

Imprint definition:
1. A pattern design or mark that is made by pressing something on or into something else.
2. An effect that remains and is recognizable for along time.

I seek to search and experiment in the building of my work .The techniques and materials I use allow for the marking of imprints on paper, canvas and mixed mediums to merge the conscious with the subconscious in the nature of abstract expression. This work expresses the challenge of learned technique and working in the moment. The out come will be an imprint / painting with spontaneous effects and markings.
