Adam Brent

Adam Brent is Brooklyn based artist who makes “architectural stations” that integrate living plants. His sculptures can be regarded as portable open green houses that contain vegetation and require the nurturing care of the viewer. His geometric constructions provide a shelter for living plants. The two elements create a juxtaposition that questions the relationship between man-made structures and organic forms from nature. His outdoor installations often take place amidst buildings in an urban environment where he creates temporary gardens that require the supervision and care of the community. His work acts as a visual reminder that structure and nature can co-exist in a mutually beneficial relationship.
