I like pointing out the absurd. Humor is very important to me and it opens people up and disarms otherwise very serious situations. It has never been my nature to slow down and create something methodically or precisely. I prefer to paint quickly and carelessly. Similarly, my sculptures also contain a kind of recklessness. I choose my materials for it's unexpected quality. The objects then act as props in a surreal set. The subject matter is generally ridiculous and often involves asking "what would I do if I were caught in a shit storm?" The response is an image/object that helps me to get out an of undesirable place.
