I was adopted and raised in Brooklyn since the age of five months old, originally from a small town between San Pedro Sulla and Copan in Honduras. I am an Indigenous American (Maya). I am a filmmaker and a writer, currently writing for the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian.
