Kevin Doyle (USA/IE) is a writer and director creating works of interdisciplinary theatre. He grew up next to a New York prison, and lives in the shadow of an unnecessary sports stadium in Brooklyn. He graduated with honors from the Drama Studies program at Purchase College (SUNY). He has written eleven plays that have received productions in Canada, Belgium, The Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and the United States. Doyle collaborates with dance, film, theatre, and visual artists on his own independent projects, or as a director-designer in the service of the lead artist. He is the recipient of a Thornton Wilder Fellowship at The MacDowell Colony; a Rosette Lamont Residency for Emerging Playwrights at The Corporation of Yaddo; a Saari Fellowship Award from the Kone Foundation; a USArtists International Award from the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation; a Cultural Exchange Fund Award from APAP/Andrew Mellon Foundation; and was an artist-in-residence at The Watermill Center. His play "The Position" was published in PLAYS AND PLAYWRIGHTS 2006 and THE BEST MEN'S STAGE MONOLOGUES 2006. Doyle’s writing has received support from residencies at Willapa Bay Air (WA), Playa (OR), Escape To Create (FL), Wooda (U.K.), the Jentel Foundation (WY), the Brush Creek Foundation (WY), the Edward F. Albee Foundation (NY), the Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology (MI), the ARC Program at the Migros Culture Percentage (Switzerland) and the Fundacion Valparaiso in Mojacar, Spain. His work as been supported by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2009/2013), the Puffin Foundation (2008/2010), the Greenwall Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the East End Arts Council, and BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange. Doyle's plays have been translated into French, Romanian and Swedish; while his critical writing about arts funding issues have been published by The Kone Foundation (Finland) and Entr'Actes (France). In 2016, his work was recognized with grant awards from the Asian Cultural Council (New York), CEC ArtsLink (New York), the LIVE WORKS Performance Act Award program at Centrale Fies (Italy); the Bi-Centennial Swedish-American Fund at the Svenska Institutet (Stockholm), and a Kesselring Award from The Dramatists Guild Fund (New York). In February 2017, he will research a new installation-performance about the work of the late Croatian artist Željko Zorica at the Culture of Change in the University of Zagreb.

Festival at the Vooruit Arts Centre (Ghent), which went on to receive a national tour of Belgium and The Netherlands. During the 2017 Spring-Summer Season, he will develop THE AЯTS with his theatre company, Sponsored By Nobody, as recipients of the 2017 Impact Residency Program at the Drama League of New York and the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
