The video, Misplaced Archive, Found, 2007, documents the exploration into the personal archive of an unknown person. The video captures the process of sifting through a box of photographs, of documents. Each photograph bears information, evidence of time, place, moment. Each photograph is open to my relationship to it and to my interpretation. The contents of the box are a mystery to be explored: Who owned the archive? Who organized it? What did they put in it and what did they choose to leave out? With the infinite amount of documents and information in the world, with the endless details for each event and experience related to a person, what are the boundaries and parameters that mark this archive?
