Biographical note of Yusuf Khurram
My self yusuf khurram,born in Jodhpur,Rajasthan.India. I am professional Theatre / Film directore,Actore & Folk researcher.

I have done my up to High school education in Jodhpur & other different villages of Marwar ,like Pali,Didwanawana ect.

I did my graduation form Rajasthan College, University of Rajasthan,Jaipur.in the year 1981,since my college day’s I am very much active in field of Drama & Theatre activities!

During my Collage days I did Theatre activity not only in my college but also in other colleges of Jaipur,
I was also a student of Rajasthan University “Deptt.of Dramatics” for certificate course in the year 1980-81,same year I was Awarded for Best Actor Award,
After my graduation I got admission in National School Of Drama, New Delhi,
(a renowned Drama School in Asia).for professional study,I was awarded Rajasthan Sanjeet Natak Acadmey scholarship for N.S.D
After complication of National School OF Drama , I was associate with National School Of Drama as an apprentice fellow for a period of one year, during this fellowship research I was attached with professional Folk theatre grops,as well as treble groups! Of Rajasthan.
I have also been awarded Ministry of HRD,department of Culture Govt.Of India fellowship for research on “Role OF Theatre Education in Primary education level!
Working for folk theatre for more than a decade, I switched to documentary film-making to bring to the fore Rajasthan folk culture and crafts
.My documentary film “Tradition” based on 800 year art of making hand-made paper,was nominated for Best documentary Award at Narrowsburg film festival & same has been shown at Mumbai International film festival.

I have also conceptualized ,research & directed more then 150 episodes of a Rajasthani Folk musical travelogue” Lok -Yatra” for ETV Rajasthan.

Till today I have directed & Acted in more then 100 Television Serails,Films & Theatre plays,

At present I am working in to develop my organization”Desert Art” as research center for Rajasthan folk Arts & craft.

My main intention is to discover hidden talent from grass roots levels of Rajasthan & provide them national & international platform to perform. .
