Vanessa Bahmani

My photographs interpret the energetic movement of break dancing and the dynamic individual character of each of these two dancers in a series of color and silhouetted images. The silhouettes showcase the formal and aesthetic beauty of bodies twisting in a form of dance that by nature is challenging and strenuous. I contrast these against the exuberant color photographs, which accentuate the unique character of each dancer through their choice in wardrobe and style of dance.
