I am a photographer. I have created the Open Space Gallery Project as a venue to showcase Artist(s)and artwork in "open" green spaces. The present objective of the Project is to document the Brooklyn Queens Land Trust Garden Community. In my images, I freeze moments in the garden. The combination of energy and the spontaneity of the clicks of the camera confirm that I belong here. I am like-minded to those around me. We share a common ground. We are one with Mother Earth.
The diversity of people in Public Urban gardens & the enthusiasm they share gardening, composting,(raising chickens!), celebrating an event or special activity is very empowering. The Images I share with this group are to inspire them to continue to educate the younger generations, sustain unity and grow. As a gardener & photographer, I wait in the gap for an expression, a gesture, a sweaty brow, a dirty face or a peculiar posture; qualities that express you with the essence that is uniquely your own.
The "Images in the Gardens" celebrate us, my fellow gardeners in our element in community.
