Workshop Gallery Artists Foundation is a NYS approved 501.c.3 fledgling non-profit foundation whose purpose is to promote and facilitate the process of keeping traditional art craft alive and vibrant in our world and to encourage the interpretation and expression of such through the individual artisan.
CURRENT PROJECTS INCLUDE:
THE CHILDREN'S MURAL: Our long wall is almost always in-process with an ever-changing children's mural. We invite all children to come by and draw the season's theme. Artists are on-hand to assist and share the experience.
HANDMADE, the Handmade Project: if you are working in traditional artisan mediums, please do contact. We are glad to speak with you about partnering, put you in touch with others through our international network as well as to potentially showcase handmade work.
BRIDGES to BRIDGES/DUMBO: a public art project celebrating the DUMBO Waterfront Neighborhood with an ongoing collaborative rotating art installation between BRIDGES DUMBO and Workshop Gallery Artists Foundation wherein artists as well as the general public are invited to share their images of the Brooklyn Bridges and Waterfront views. Professional and local artists are especially encouraged to explore their visual relationship to the bridges and immediate waterfront areas as well as to participate in art events where the public is actively engaging in art making with the DUMBO neighborhood. To see this ongoing exhibit, visit THE BRIDGES at 66 Water Street Brooklyn NY 11201 www.thebridgesdumbo.com
The public is invited not only to enjoy but also to participate and submit their own images. Bridges to Bridges is between the community and art, professional artists and the general public as well as between the bridges themselves and their representations as art and looking is explored.
Please contact Martine Bisagni to submit your images of the bridges, the waterfront from Brooklyn to Manhattan or the immediate DUMBO area for exhibition consideration. 718.797.9428
