Arts journalist and curator Sarah Schmerler presents this seminar on how to write successful artist's statements and have fun doing it. This workshop will provide you with the tools and inspiration needed to become a more focused writer. You will leave the seminar with a short statement about your work—which you yourself write!
Sarah Schmerler is an arts journalist, curator and consultant. Her work has appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The Village Voice, Art in America, and Photograph. She's developed a writing methodology geared specifically for artists, and has taught at Medgar Evers College and The New School.
