Manage Your Regrant

Congratulations on receiving a BAC Community Arts Regrant!

The following guidelines will help you understand the Regrant process and make the most of your award. These guidelines apply to funding provided by NYSCA, DCA, NYSCA IND-TIER, and JPMC Regrants.

Notification of Funding and Project Revision

In early January, you will receive a letter telling you how much funding you have been awarded.

After learning how much funding you received, please complete the Project Revision Form below. It asks for a brief written update on your project and asks you to upload a revised project budget. For further instructions please see below.*

Contract Agreement and Receiving your Funding

Upon approval of the Project Revision Form, we will mail you a Contract Agreement specifying the terms of your funded project. You must sign the Contract Agreement and return it to BAC in order to receive your funding.

In March, all awardees are publicly recognized at the BAC Community Arts Regrant Awards Ceremony. Award checks will be available following the ceremony. Although we present checks in March, Regrant projects may take place at any point during the year.

Interim Reporting

All NYSCA and DCA awardees are required to submit an Interim Report to BAC by June 1st, 2010, summarizing the progress of your project.

The deadline for Interim Reports for JPMC awardees is July 1st, 2010.

If your project is already complete by your Interim Report deadline, skip it and submit a Final Report instead.

The Interim Report is a short online form, with no budget update; click on the appropriate link below to get started.

Final Reporting

All NYSCA, DCA and JPMC awardees are required to submit a Final Report to BAC within 30 days of the project end date stated on their Contract Agreement, or January 15th, 2011, at the latest.

The Final Report form is online and is similar to the Project Revision form you completed earlier in the year.

* To do your Final Report, you may need to look back at your application. To do this, be sure you are logged into the same account you were in when you applied, click 'Your Forms' in your account tools, and you will be able to select and view your application forms from the past year.

How to update your project budget:
Return to the Excel file you used for your application and project revision budgets. You can download the one you uploaded when you applied last fall by selecting the appropriate'2010 Budget Upload' form from the 'Your Forms' list, right clicking on the file and saving it locally to your computer. Then go to the fourth tab (titled Final Report Budget) in the Excel file, edit as needed, and save the file as '2010 [NYSCA or DCA]_Final Report_[your name]'. You can then upload it to the Final Report form so you are sure to have a copy saved for your records for future years.

Project Visits

As part of our responsibility to you, a BAC staff member or panelist may attend your funded project. Please notify BAC via phone or email at least three weeks in advance of your event so that we can schedule accordingly. Please provide BAC with a copy of any invitations or fliers advertising your event, and be sure that we have the exact date, time and location as well as two complimentary tickets to the event.

Stay in Touch!

We love to hear about what’s going on with our Awardees! We strongly encourage artists to become members of the BAC Online Artist Registry. Organizations are invited to join the BAC Online Directory. Joining is free and easy. Both the Registry and the Directory are accessible to the public, and are a great way to make yourself visible in Brooklyn and beyond.
