Calling all Brooklyn filmmakers for our first Meet Up event of 2010. Meet and mingle with local filmmakers at BAC Gallery, drink free beer from Kelso Brewery, and learn about the programs and support available for filmmakers through IFP and Brooklyn Arts Council. And while you're here, be sure check out all the great gallery openings and cultural events going on in the neighborhood for Dumbo 1st Thursdays.

ABOUT BAC'S FILM AND MEDIA ARTS PROGRAMS
Scene: Brooklyn is the cornerstone of BAC's film activities, showcasing the tremendous and diverse film talent based in Brooklyn and bringing independent Brooklyn filmmakers together with new audiences. This evolving program includes the flagship May screening and discussion series featuring Brooklyn independent filmmakers; special screenings and discussions in partnership with local film/media organizations throughout the year; professional development seminars for filmmakers and film/media organizations; and filmmaker meet-ups and social gatherings. In addition, BAC supports the creation of film and media art by awarding grants to over 15 Brooklyn film and media artists each year, promoting film and media artists and organizations though its online registry and directory, and providing artists with fiscal sponsorship.

BAC Gallery participates in DUMBO 1st Thursday. Come down the first Thursday of every month for special programming and extended gallery hours! BAC 1st Thursday programs are made possible, in part, by support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
