Brooklyn Arts Council seeks a Database Management Intern for its Arts in Education Department (AIE). The intern will gain entry-level skills in database management. The intern will organize information from numerous sources, perform data entry, and eliminate redundancy in the department's mailing lists. This internship is part-time, 10-20 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Academic credit may be available through the intern’s educational institution.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with database management, including collecting data and data entry.
• Mailing List Organization, create an organized system for the arts education department’s ongoing maintenance of the database.
• Special Project Assistance as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Database and data entry experience
• Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Team player who has the ability to get along with colleagues in a supportive group setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient
• Independent worker with strong initiative and ability to be self-motivated
• Strong references from previous supervisors and/or faculty
• Desire to work in the NYC non-profit community and learn more about the field of arts administration
