Notification of Funding
Notification letters are sent out via US Mail for all programs mid to late January of the year after you applied. Each applicant receives a notification letter.
Project Revision
A brief online form where you’re asked to describe any necessary changes to your project based on the funding you’ve received, or other ways the project may have changed since you applied.
BAC cannot mail your contract without a completed project revision form, which will result in a delay in receiving your funding.
Right click on the PDF below to download detailed instructions. The online forms are available via the links below.
Grant contract
After reviewing your Project Revision Form, we will mail you a contract specifying the terms of your funded project. The contract must be completed by the artist or an organization’s authorized representative. If you are funded through a fiscal sponsor, an authorized representative of their organization must sign as well. Original grant contracts must be complete and returned to BAC office in order to receive funding.
Receiving your award
In late March 2012, all awardees will be publicly recognized at the BAC Community Art Grants Award Ceremony. Checks will be released following the ceremony. Although we present checks in March, funded projects may take place at any point during the year.
All Community Arts Fund grants are given in two installments: 80% at the BAC Grants ceremony and the final 20% after the final report is received.
Please contact the Grants Department at grants@brooklynartscouncil.org or 718.625.0080 with any questions or concerns.
