ARTIST STATEMENT

I work in themes by subject and/or media, using multidisciplinary approaches to visual expression, from traditional photography and design techniques, mixed media, to contemporary and new technology. My coffee is Arabic, my breakfast Quaker, my landlord Hasidic, my parents Helvetii, my husband Dominican-American, my lunch Mexican, my dinner Ethiopian, my best friends French and Japanese. I was born in Zurich and, since the mid-90s, live and work in New York. Being part of a generation that grew up and lives with multiple cultures, my motivation comes from a wide spectrum of creative and social experiences, and has served both as source of artistic nutrition and inspired me to be an active creative thinker.
