Sara DeRose, Marketing/Communications Director

Sara joined BAC in December 2005, and is leading BAC’s efforts to develop and implement marketing and press campaigns - online and in print - for its many programs and services. Sara was responsible for overseeing BAC’s website redesign, and for ensuring a consistent visual identity throughout all of BAC’s communications vehicles.

Prior to joining BAC, she worked as Communications Associate with Creative Time and as a graduate assistant for Public Art Fund. She has worked as an arts consultant and interned at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise. In addition to her experience in the arts, Sara has worked for Habitat for Humanity in Guatemala, Mexico and in Menlo Park, California as an on-site volunteer Coordinator. As a graduate consultant, Sara produced a marketing plan for the New York American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) online stores. She has an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from the Milano School at New School University. She has a B.A. from Fordham University where she majored in both Sociology and Fine Arts with a concentration in Film and Photography.
