Brooklyn Arts Council's Folk Arts street team will help spread the word about traditional arts and local community festivals neighborhood by neighborhood.
Brooklyn Arts Council's Folk Arts program is looking for a few great volunteers to help keep folk arts and heritage traditions alive and well in Brooklyn. Our summer program series, "Festivals Traditional Style!” needs your help!
If you are passionate about event production and promotion and want to help keep Brooklyn's cultural heritage expressions vibrant and accessible, please join our street team. We need assistance with passing out our marketing materials at cafés, laundromats, restaurants, bookstores, community centers, galleries and DIY venues in the following neighborhoods:
5. Carroll Gardens
6. Clinton Hill
7. Brooklyn Heights
High school students and college students interested in folk arts and traditional practices, local artists and business owners, and anyone who loves celebrating arts and culture in Brooklyn, please be in touch: cmule (at) brooklynartscouncil.org.
