Come learn about the diversity of health and wellness resources available to New York City's artist community.
Brooklyn Arts Council & MetroPlus invite you to a multi-sensory resource-access experience to rejuvenate connections to our healthiest selves in 2020! The evening features sound immersion, information stations, a health screening booth, and meditation and performance breaks, all anchored by a lively panel discussion.
Come hear from a cross section of the voices and practitioners driving the city’s dynamic wellness profile. Sharing their approach to wellness and their insights about New York’s health needs, this conversation creates networks of understanding for optimizing our healthcare in the city. The conversation will begin with a guided meditation and will close with a interactive vocal performance.
Panelists include representatives from MetroPlus , Thrive, Dr. Eric Wei of the NYC Health + Hospitals' Arts in Medicine program, Dr. Dannet Bean (Doctor of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine), and sound meditation practitioner Maraliz Campos .
