Red Sea Yemeni Music Ensemble

The music of Yemen, an area centered at the heart of the ancient caravan routes and the earliest maritime trade channels, is presented by this culturally diverse ensemble. Performers Ahamed Alrodini, singer and master of Yemeni folklore songs; Isaac Gutwilk, percussionist and specialist in the traditional Jewish folk music of Yemen; and Yitzhak Levy-Awami, Yemeni dancer and choreographer, present an interactive program of regional styles of Yemeni music, dance, and instruments.
