Scene: Brooklyn is Brooklyn Arts Council's film and media arts program, presenting film screenings throughout the year, with a multi-day centerpiece event each spring.

The flagship spring program features screenings of short films, documentaries, animation, and experimental works by Brooklyn based artists and filmmakers. Screenings are held at venues around downtown Brooklyn, including Galapagos Art Space and BAMcinématek. Additionally, the series includes a filmmaking panel, reception and awards ceremony.

ABOUT BAC'S FILM AND MEDIA ARTS PROGRAMS
Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is the leading organization serving Brooklyn artists and cultural groups in all disciplines. In addition to Scene: Brooklyn, BAC supports the creation of media art by awarding grants to over 15 Brooklyn film and media artists each year. BAC promotes film and media artists though its online registry, which currently includes 4,100 Brooklyn-based artists of all disciplines. We also provide artists with fiscal sponsorship and professional development seminars throughout the year.

Scene: Brooklyn LogosScene: Brooklyn is made possible, in part, by the Experimental Television Center's Media Arts Technical Assistance Fund, the Henry Nias Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The Experimental Television Center's Media Arts Technical Assistance Fund is supported by the Electronic Media and Film Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
