The Printmaker's Portfolio Project

The purpose of the Printmakers' Portfolio Project is to foster new work, place original prints in private and public collections, and to promote a wider understanding of original printmaking – a medium that’s popular with established and emerging artists alike.

We believe that artists deserve compensation for their work. We also encourage people of all backgrounds and income levels to collect original art. Their affordability makes original prints an especially good way to start a collection.

Please read on to learn more about printmaking techniques and to browse Printmakers’ Portfolio 2000 – 15 specially-commissioned, limited-edition prints created by Brooklyn-based artists.

BAC Core Funder LogosBAC programs are made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York City Council and its Brooklyn Delegation.
