Space Matters: Real Estate Opportunities for Arts Organizations

At a time when real estate is extremely limited for arts organizations due to high costs and high demand, this seminar provides information to Brooklyn community-based arts organizations on how to obtain real estate for administrative and artistic needs. The speaker will discuss the key project planning components needed for organizations to start a capital acquisition venture and/or suggest solutions that an organization that has already started th process may be facing. The workshop cover project planning, budgeting and pro-formas, site control, securing developers, licenses and permits, and funding sources.
