Contemporary Arab Brooklyn: Sights, Sounds, and Flavors

On Saturday, May 17 from noon to 3:00p.m., BAC Folk Arts heads to Arab Bay Ridge to explore the thriving 5th Ave strip that includes Tarboosh Coffee House, Pyramids Jewelry, Diana Clothing, Princess (Amira) Music store, the Islamic Society of America Mosque and the Arab American Association. At certain stops along the way, we’ll be treated to brief performances by neighborhood music and dance artists. There will be plenty of time to explore, learn, eat, and shop!

Space is still available! The meeting place for the start of the tour will be announced to tour participants via telephone or email.
