..Fun Spring/Summer Events at ERIE BASIN PARK.. Next to IKEA, in Red Hook... slip on your tongs, grab a blanket and join in for fun filled weekends in waterfront environmental recreation, maritime cultural enrichment, Live Music and Art with the ENVIROMEDIA MOBILE on the waterfront at the historic ERIE BASIN waterfront, in Red Hook.
Sun April 25th- 1pm- 5pm- ENVIROMEDIA MOBILE's EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS at IKEA/Erie Basin Park
Public tours of the spectacular traveling NATURE and MARITIME MUSEUM on wheels, RECYCLING, RECYCLING, RECYCLING- Bring your OLD JUNK ELECTRONICS, and your OLD READY TO THROW-AWAY SNEAKERS for recycling. Join in for the Ceremonial Launch of the Giant Floating Earth Ball. Help Float the GIANT EARTH BALL to 100ft in the air- signifying your 100% commitment to mitigation of impacts on Climate Change and Ocean Acidification.

Celebrate our very own human ecology through MUSICAL EXPRESSIONS. FREE LIVE MUSIC performances at every ENVIROMEDIA MOBILE event at the " OPEN PIANO on the SOAP BOX". Play the keyboard, flute, didgiridoo, doumbek drum?... stop by pick-up an instrument and share a song on the SOAP BOX.
UDEC/ENVIROMEDIA MOBILE Sun April 18th, 11pm- 3pm- 11th ANNUAL GOWANUS EARTH DAY FLOTILLA SPRING CLEAN-UP " SUPERFUND ME NOW... I AM!" The Urban Divers will host an Environmental Education and Ecocruise aboard its unique 32ft indian shipping canoe that accommodate 21 paddlers at time. Meet at 2nd and Bond and Canal. On MARCH 2nd- EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency Officially Listed the GOWANUS CANAL as SUPERFUND SITE)... a pathway to a real clean-up, ecological restoration, protection of public health and property.
