ARTIST SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS MARCH 1 – 31, 2010
Corridor Gallery exhibition program seeks to facilitate a contemporary dialogue between new audiences and emerging artists—who live and work in and around New York City* and do not have commercial representation—through four thematically structured group exhibitions per year. Corridor Gallery provides an inclusive space for the entire emerging artistic community and promotes experimental ventures in visual production, curatorial work, performance and community involvement. All exhibiting artists are selected from our annual call for submissions, which is free and open to the public. Selections are only made through this process; unsolicited mailings outside the month of March will not be reviewed, returned or kept on file. (*Artists from outside NYC are welcome to apply if they are willing to pay for all shipping, handling, and necessary travel related to installation and de-installation.)
We will be accepting application packages March 1 - 31, 2010 for consideration for the 2010 – 2011 exhibition year.
GUEST CURATOR SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS MARCH 1 – 31, 2010
Corridor Gallery exhibition program seeks to facilitate a contemporary dialogue between new audiences and emerging artists, writers and curators through four thematically structured group exhibitions per year. Corridor Gallery provides an inclusive space for the entire emerging artistic community and promotes experimental ventures in visual production, curatorial work, performance and community involvement. The gallery offers an excellent opportunity for independent curators to realize their projects in an established venue that makes innovative contributions to the contemporary art world. Please note that Nina Ziefvert, Manager of Exhibition Programs reviews exhibition proposals once a year; while the gallery solicits most guest curatorial projects, unsolicited applications are also welcome but only in the month of February through the process outlined below. All applicants must have prior curatorial experience.
