It is a pleasure to announce the hottest new contribution to the East Bushwick art scene, the BIKO Gallery, presenting Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood: an exhibit that investigates the global effects of economics, gender, access, and mobility on the community level. Curated by the Grown UP Goddess Transformation Process, eight groundbreaking, multi-media artists will provide a vision of their neighborhoods across Europe, The United States, and Africa. This brilliant mix of emerging and established artists consists of: Fredrick Ajode, Nathalie Becher, Sandra Becker 01, Marius van Berloo, Johanna Bruckner, Petra Couwenbergs, Yeshvir Daamineni, Joe Morris, Marlies Poeschl, Mario Robinson, Melissa Steckbauer, and Anna Weilhartner. Come savor the flavors at the opening reception on Friday March 14th from 6-8pm. Delicious Underground Hip Hop provided by DJ Amadaeus & Punk Drum and Base by Voyager 666. The exhibit runs from March 14-21, by appointment only. Located in the heart of East Bushwick, The BIKO Gallery can be found at 1474 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207.
