Radio Valhalla by Damien Olsen
This the 9th of Damien Olsen albums and it is the second one of a trilogy which concept is to approach the spirit of Electronica. Not as "Club Dancing" genre but not something too far from that..
If in the previous album called Elektronische D.O. presented a blend of classical and modern synthesizer textures with melodic directions.
In Radio Valhalla we have a collection of pieces of imaginary "Late Nights" labeled by ambient radio emissions.
Something of Film Noire and Post Rave Culture are dramatically orchestrated in different sonic dimensions at the same time.
This album also opens the door for future conceptual releases with new art covers in series of photographs of night transit, tunnels and highways which could be musically related or not but to listening to some older tracks of previous albums it might help to get the concept straight.
