NEW FILMMAKERS SERIES PRESENTS
The NewFilmmakers Screening Series selects films and videos often overlooked by traditional film festivals. The NewFilmmakers Series began in 1998 and over the past thirteen years has screened over 600 features and 2,000 short films.

A long-overdue examination of the creative renaissance in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Featuring interviews with a host of artists and neighborhood characters, Ramocki’s film captures life in a utopian universe made by artists, for artists, with its inevitable decline in the face of real-estate development, gentrification, and the post-September-11 market collapse.
–Wednesday, March 9, First Short Film Program at 6:00, Second Short Program at 7:00, Feature Presentation at 8:15.

Anthology screens more than 900 film and video programs per year, publishes books and catalogs annually, and has preserved more than 800 films to date.
Directions: Anthology is at 32 Second Ave. at 2nd St. Subway: F to 2nd Ave; 6 to Bleecker. Tickets: $9 general; $8 Essential Cinema (free for members); $7 for students, seniors, & children (12 & under); $6 AFA members.
