Pantheon NYC was an exhibit curated by Daniel Feral and Joyce Manalo as part of the Chashama Windows program, Spring 2011. The exhibition catalog is now printed and available for sale through pantheonnyc.com and also in the MoCa bookstore. My essay, The Ache of the Real: Streets, Cyberspace and Alternative Vision, which addresses certain aspects of public space politics and freedoms, some particular to New York, others to the urban landscape in general, has been included in the catalog. A free PDF version is also available for download on my website. I have additional thoughts sparked by this experience and plan a series of essays, to be published on my website, that will continue to chronicle more of the hacker/tagger identity as I see it taking shape in headlines and also along a longer context of cultural transformation.
