FOLK FEET DANCE WORKSHOPS

Organize your own dance workshop! BAC's Folk Feet Dance Workshops connect you to Brooklyn's traditional dance teachers. These experts in different dance cultures are available to teach classes throughout the New York area. Learn dances such as Egyptian saidi, Dominican merengue, Hawaiian hula and many more. Each workshop can also provide an overview of the dance's cultural setting, like the costume, music and crafts that traditionally accompany it. Work with the teacher to tailor classes to fit any age group or skill level.

Funding is currently available to help pay for your workshop so start planning yours now!! Simply fill out an online planning form at http://www.brooklynartscouncil.org/documents/738 or contact the Brooklyn Arts Council directly and we'll put you in touch with your selected teacher(s).
