Artistic director Arelis Beato and Tropical Image Inc invite you to the FifthAnnual Brooklyn Salsa Congress. This event raises funds to support and maintain the "GKOTS" Get the Kids off the Street" Project, a community, family-oriented program that helps keep our youth involved in the arts and educate them in different cultures through the art of dance. The event features a pre-party, an after party, and two days of showcasing dance performances by some of the most talented renowned dance teams in New York and surrounding areas. The guest DJs and social dancing caters to our young and adult audiences. This year on the website there will be a special request feature, where you're able to request your favorite song. All the requested songs will be played during a set hour each night of the event. This fundraiser for the "Get the Kids off the Street" Project ....."GKOTS" Hosted by Tropical Image Inc., a Not for Profit 501(c) (3) corporation focuses on raising funds to keep this arts program available to our youth. The dance classes are offered to children for free or tuition is kept at the lowest cost in the New York area. Highlights for this year include, showcases just as spectacular as it has been the last three years; however, this year's special showcase set up is sure to delight and keep audiences at the edge of their seats. Sponsorships are welcomed for the GKOTS program directly and for the Fourth Annual Brooklyn Salsa Congress which has become the most exciting, and awaited dance event in Brooklyn by enthusiastic attendees, performers and business partners. The event offers businesses and community groups the opportunity to network and build relationships with new audiences with its substantial growth each year. The amount of attendees is expected to exceed 800 this year. The talent from local New York boroughs, surrounding areas, out-of-state and countries are guaranteed to raise the bar to the highest standard this year.
