Need more support for your work? Who doesn’t?! FABnyc and OurGoods have joined forces to offer a dynamic year filled with workshops, live barter events, networking opportunities, and sharing circles all designed to help you make your work with support from your own community.  Get more info

FAB! Festival
East 4th St (btwn 2nd Ave/Bowery)

FABnyc’s annual festival of Lower East Side arts. Participate in one of our free Barter 101 Workshops and explore OurGoods’ live barter tent.

October 10th and 25th, 6:30pm
Idea Parties
Downtown Art, 59-61 East 4th St, 7th Floor

Learn from each other at these facilitated peer-to-peer resource-sharing meet-ups. After breaking into groups, artists each get two minutes to present the specific challenge they are trying to meet. The rest of the group brainstorms on that problem for eight minutes. The facilitator keeps time and keeps the conversation on track. Space is limited, RSVP to

Artist Swap: Take home free costumes, sets, props, supplies, and furniture donated by other arts organizations.

Live Barter Meetup: Post the things you need to get your work done, and the skills, spaces and objects you have to offer in exchange. Meet potential barter partners on the spot and get your work moving!

Creative re-use workshops: Start the artmaking on site with hands-on workshops that will teach you to re-purpose electronics, fabric and other materials. 


Dance Block: FABnyc’s Dance Block program provides rehearsal space to dancemakers and other independent performance makers at just $10/hr. Contact Phoebe at to book space! OurGoods is a barter network for creative people. Find help with fundraising, stage management, costume design, and almost everything else you need to get your work on its feet within a community of generosity and mutual respect.
