We are pleased to announce a series of free, printmaking workshops to be held at the Sunset Park Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. Classes taught by Brooklyn area artists will be held on Thursday afternoons, July 18, July 25, August 1, and August 8, 2013 in two sessions: 2 – 3pm, for ages 5 through 9 3:30 – 4:30pm, ages 10 – 16 Workshops will feature lessons in relief, collagraph, and monoprinting. All materials and instructions will be provided to the students and feature safe, non-toxic, and affordable supplies. Interested students can attend one or more classes, based on availability. Attendance will be limited to 20 – 25 students, on a first come, first served basis. Children and teens will leave each class with a completed work of art or project, and will have the opportunity to participate in an art show at the library. We look forward to seeing you there!
