This program provides an overview of the laws that govern the relationships between individual artists as employees and independent contractors and arts and cultural organizations in their roles as employers.

Topics include the employee/independent contractor distinction, unpaid interns, employment contracts, intellectual property issues, discrimination, workplace harassment, leave laws, disability and religious accommodation issues, non-compete agreements, and more!
