Natasha Harsh "Scallions" oil on canvas

Harsh Solo Exhibition at the James Beard Foundation/Greenhouse Gallery located at 167 West 12th Street,Manhattan. November 3 - December 31,2008
"Natasha Harsh paintings celebrate the inherently humble but stunning beauty of the fruits and vegetables that nourish our lives. Often piled high into compositions of masses of riotous color and form, the viewer is invited into a visual world of abstract frenzy. In the paintings, the fruits and vegetables pose naked, unashamedly awaiting their lovers, the chefs, who will creatively transform them."

Comments:

Carrots&Radishes is a landscape inspired by the "organized chaos"presented by farmers at the New York City GreenMarket.
