Community gardens are public " Green spaces" for all to enjoy. Neighbors can visit during "Open Hours" or when a gardener is present.
The gardens have work days where garden members gather to spruce up the garden, pruning back trees and overgrown shrubs. The pathways are cleared of weeds followed by laying down wood chips or other forms of paving. The compost is turned and placed in plots to nourish new growth. Bulbs, flowers and veggies are planted during their planting season. Community is always welcome to join in.
At garden events such as Spring Festivals you may find plant sales, bake sales, flea markets, children activities and Nature studies. Professional local musicians, magicians, and performing arts group often join us in celebrations.
