Regina Opera Company will present Bizet’s "Carmen" on Saturdays May 16 and 23; and Sundays May 17 and 24 at 3:00PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help auditorium, 5902 6th Avenue, Brooklyn. The fully-staged performances of this tragedy in which a sultry gypsy drives a young soldier to extremes of passion, is sung in French with English super-titles. Admission: $25 - general admission; $20 - seniors/college students under 25; teens - $5. Children - Free. Tickets are available at the door and on line. The cast includes Augusta Caso and Lara Tillotson as Carmen; Paolo Buffagni and Michael Morrow (pictured) as Don Jose; Alexander C. Boyd and Nathan Matticks as Escamillo, and Stacey Canterbury and Jessica Sandidge as Micaela. Jose Alejandro Guzman will conduct.
