We're very proud to announce our Call For Entries for the 6th annual edition of AoBFF — the only film festival in the world for, by and about Brooklyn-centric films and filmmakers.
We are accepting films via FilmFreeway and Withoutabox and have extended our low-priced Early Bird rates all the way to October 31st.
Our Screening Panel of industry pros watches every single film we get. Not every festival does that, but it's important for us to let filmmakers know their work is being taken seriously. We have a lot of great stuff planned for 2016 but it all starts with Brooklyn's best new indie films. So enter yours today!
Named #1 of A.R.T.S.Y. Magazine's Top 7 U.S. Film Festivals for 2013.
“The Brooklyn movie scene is certainly no small potato, with legendary filmmakers such as Spike Lee. But like many arts events in the borough, film festivals often hover over select neighborhoods and communities, giving filmgoers only the smallest taste of how diverse and varied Brooklyn truly is. The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival aims to change all that.” - Brooklyn Based
“Major events mostly cluster around only a few north Brooklyn neighborhoods,” said Joseph Shahadi, the festival’s executive director. “Our innovation is simple: We include everyone, from Boerum Hill to Bergen Beach, Fort Greene to Flatlands.” - The New York Times
"An indie gem that showcases the best of the Borough." - INDUSTRY MAGAZINE
"A film festival for Brooklyn, by Brooklyn and about Brooklyn." - THE L MAGAZINE
“Seeking to promote Kings County’s cinematic indie cred... this showcase features independent filmmakers — both first-timers and Hollywood vets—who have lived and worked in the borough… ” - Time Out NY
