The Lower East Side Printshop invites emerging artists of all disciplines and cultural backgrounds to apply for the Special Editions Residency 2009. Between February 2009 - February 2010, recipients will collaborate with a Master Printer over a period of three to six months to create a new body of work. The Printshop will provide materials, tools, equipment, studio access, technical assistance, documentation, exhibition opportunities, limited travel and accommodation stipends for artists residing outside New York, and a $2,000 honorarium. Applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered by December 2, 2008. No previous printmaking experience is necessary. Applicants must be legal US residents.
