We are going to a residency abroad for 6 mo and are trying to sublet our space when we are gone.
The studio sublet will start December 1st and go until at least June 30th but can be available for a whole year. It is imperative that the person who takes the studio is committed to staying through the end of June.
The studio is on north 12th and Kent in Williamsburg 5 minutes from the Bedford L stop. It is on the top floor of a three story very secure building and everyone on the floor are professional artists. The hallways and bathrooms are clean, the slop sink is close. The studio is two rooms, and we are subletting the larger (front) of the two and storing our current work in the smaller back room while we are away on an artist residency. There is a wall of windows with north light, a freight elevator, loading dock, great view, huge windows, mini fridge, and flat file drawers for you to use. The large room is 450sf, with 15 foot ceilings. Your monthly rent will be 950 + electric. It will be your private studio as we will not be coming through. This would be a good space to share.
