Art for Darfur, image by Ava Tomlinson
Saturday, Dec. 13, 11am-4pm, Brooklyn artists are holding an art sale to raise money to be sent to Doctors Without Borders for their work in Darfur. Concerned artists, photographers and writers will provide artwork which will be offered at the time of the annual Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture’s Holiday Crafts Fair at 53 Prospect Park West between 1st and 2nd Street in Park Slope. Here is a chance to buy holiday gifts as well as do something to help the victims of the deadly problems in Darfur. We will have photos, prints, greeting cards, books, and paintings. The fair is free and open to the public.
This annual crafts fair is a high quality craft event with a good following. The BSEC has been a humanizing force in our community for many years -- dedicated to improving the ethical quality of our personal lives and of our lives in the world. Doctors Without Borders have been working in Darfur and Chad with refugees for over 4 years.
