Rain date is Sunday, June 25, same times and place.
We’ve upcycled thousands of plastic bag within our community for a festive costume parade followed by a dynamic dance and drum performance, featuring Artichoke Dance Company, Keur Djembe, students from PS32 and PS372, and community members.
Global Water Dances is an international platform to raise awareness of water issues and advocate for access to clean water worldwide. The Gowanus Canal was given Superfund status by the US government because it is one of the most polluted waterways in the United States. Artichoke Dance Company is committed to upcycling materials for sets and costumes. Plastic bags clog waterways and endanger marine life.
