AWAAM’s goal is to empower a generation of young women and girls with the necessary community-organizing and media skills to act as leaders within their communities, which have endured increasing hardship in recent years. As Arab and Muslim women, AWAAM endeavors to position themselves as producers, rather than objects, of mass media.
