Opened in 1976, the New York Transit Museum is home to over 100 years of transit lore, artifacts, and memorabilia. It is housed in a 1930s subway station containing vintage subway and elevated cars, antique turnstiles, a working signal tower, and more. Programs include exhibitions, lectures, screenings, and family workshops.
