Joshua Briggs is a Writer/Director/Designer/Performer who has been creating Theater in New York City since 2001. He recently wrote, directed and produced equal to or less than two persons per square mile, a play with Film and Music at Office Ops in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It was a site specific piece staged on a roof at sunset. Joshua also wrote and directed The Magic Show at The Ontological-Hysteric Theater and recently directed Jeffrey Jones' Letter from Omdurman with the AndHow Theater Company.
Joshua has performed with Tyna Produdctions, The Uncertainty Principle, AndHow Theater Company and has recently started working as a Director of Photography. He DPed How to Deal with Death (and other gardening tips) for Eva Burgess and the Tyna Collective, and this spring he will be the Director of Photography of a music video for the band Spit-Roast Muppet. Joshua has written six short screenplays, and Directed one in the Summer of 2004. Joshua worked for two years as the Managing Director of Richard Foreman's Ontological-Hysteric Theater and Production Managed two Foreman productions, including international tours to The Vienna Festival and The Zurich Festival. Joshua is a graduate of Wesleyan University and a founding producer of The Uncertainty Principle.
