Keeping It Down is an exploration of a new-age Ghandi-wannabe fasting in the deserts of New Mexico. It is found text from a blog and original text. The piece is performed live and incorporates video to illustrate the all-encompasing power of Joan Crawford advocating hard-core consumption and day trading.
My next piece, After Collapsing, is a ritualistic tender good-bye to Anna-Nicole and an exploration of the demonization of women in the media using ancient matriarichal societies as secondary source material and Anna's weight fluctuation as the basis for the structure of the narrative.
My pieces are a little bit research, a little bit performance art, and a little bit ugly.
